Pizza Dough
Ingredients1/2 cup warm water
2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp honey 1/4 tsp salt 1 tbsp yeast 1 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup whole wheat flour |
MethodMix the warm water with the olive oil, honey, salt and yeast and let sit for 5 minutes while the yeast activates.
Combine the two flours. Begin adding the flour mixture by stirring in a 1/2 cup at a time. Knead the dough for 2-5 minutes until elastic, using more flour to keep the dough from sticking. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour before forming into the shape for the pizza. Preheat oven to 425˚ F. Pile on toppings, then bake for 15-20 minutes or until brown and melty. |
